‘Wearing hope’ for school

A fashion show fund-raiser to benefit the Zabuli Education Center for Girls in Afghanistan will take place on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Art Complex Museum at 189 Alden St. Titled “Wearing Hope,” the event will raise money for Razia’s Ray of Hope Foundation, the nonprofit foundation created by former Duxbury business owner Razia Jan, which supports the school. The event is cosponsored by the Duxbury Rotary Club and will be emceed by Mary Lou Andre, a wardrobe and dress code consultant. The show will feature luxury items to complement Afghan jackets, scarves and jewelry. A pair of 14 karat gold and clear-quartz earrings donated by Levon & Co. of Wellesley will be part of a raffle. Champagne, cocktails, and appetizers will be served. Tickets are $50 per person, available on line at www.raziasrayofhope.org.
