Art center readies for summer

Artstart at the Marion Art Center is taking applications for the summer program for children ages 4 ½ to 9. The program focuses on arts and crafts, music, theater, and stories and is held in three two-week sessions starting June 26, from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday. The last session ends Aug. 2. Tuition is $185 for art center members, $205 for nonmembers. Applications are available at the center, 80 Pleasant St., or at www.marionartcenter.org.
