Lions honor Interfaith’s Lang

The Quincy Lions Club will present the 2012 Frank McCauley Community Service Award to Bettyanne Lang of Weymouth. Club president Donna Muller said Lang was selected for her decades of service to Interfaith Social Services. As the nonprofit organization’s manager of material assistance, Lang oversees the agency’s Pantry Shelf and Career Closet programs, in addition to supervising volunteers, interviewing clients, and acting as a community liaison. In the last year, Pantry Shelf distributed more than 400,000 pounds of food. The award will be presented to Lang at a luncheon at noon on May 10 at the Neighborhood Club. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at www.quincylionsclub.org.
