Faith, family, food equals funny for Middleborough play

Faith, family, food. Now that’s Italian. Or Jewish or Irish or just about any ethnicity, which combined with food and faith, makes for funny stuff. That’s the basis of “Over the River and Through the Woods’’ showing at Alley Theatre in Middleborough over the next two weekends, directed by retired theater professor and administrator at Massasoit Community College, Michael Pevzner, who says the funny play has “a natural and human sentimental edge.’’
