Bridgewater recall dispute heads to court

Clerk wants judge to order election date

Bridgewater’s town clerk will battle the community’s top officials in court this week over a recall election he claims should have been scheduled months ago. Clerk Ron Adams has asked the court to order the Bridgewater Town Council to schedule a recall election for two councilors. Meanwhile an attorney representing Michael Demos and Peter Riordan, the councilors targeted for recall, will ask the court to rule the town has no provision to schedule a recall election.
