Town Meeting Tuesday

At Town Meeting on Tuesday, Holbrook voters will consider, among other items, articles to authorize a feasibility study for a new junior-senior school, create a demolition-delay bylaw, and establish a fine of $300 per day for unsightly, unsafe, or unhealthy property. The bylaw would give the Historical Commission power to delay a demolition permit for six months for structures 100 or more years old if the commission deems those structures historically significant and worthy of preservation. The town hopes to receive a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority for the school feasibility study. The annual Town Meeting begins at 7:15 p.m. with a Special Town Meeting at 8:15 at Holbrook Junior-Senior High School. - Jennette Barnes
