DUXBURY: Self-guided house tour

The annual Duxbury Spring House Tour, a self-guided tour featuring a number of private homes throughout town, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour begins at the Duxbury Rural Historical Society’s Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House, at 479 Washington St. This year the Sisters of St. Margaret’s Convent have agreed to open their historic farmhouse and chapel to ticket holders for the tour. Organized by the Duxbury Newcomers Club, the event raises money for charities selected by the participating homeowners. Tickets are available online at www.duxburynewcomers.com, or in person at The Studio, Foodies, and Talbots stores in Duxbury, for $25. On Saturday the tour tickets will be available at the Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House for $30. Robert Knox
