As Old Abington’s June 10th birthday approaches, residents of its initial boundaries, which included the towns of Rockland and Whitman, can join in the celebration. Sunday is the last day to vote for the Mayor for the Day by casting $1 ballots in voting boxes found in all three towns. Next Sunday at 8 a.m., a 13.1-mile half-marathon through Abington, Rockland, and Whitman will begin and finish at the Abington Police Station, 215 Central St. For more information about the June 10 Grand Parade, June 23 Olde Abington Country Field Day, as well as commemorative stamps and envelopes, visit
