Low turnout in town election

Turnout was at 19 percent in last Monday’s town election, even with four contested races on the ballot, according to the town clerk’s office. Christopher Olivieri retained his seat on Hull’s Board of Selectmen, narrowly beating back a challenge by Alana Swiec. It was Swiec’s second attempt to get on the board, the clerk said. The final tally showed that Olivieri won by 21 votes — 800 to 779.
