The Rockland Cultural Council is accepting applications for the 2012 Rita Maher Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is named for a longtime Rockland librarian and Cultural Council member who had a deep interest in the arts. It is offered annually to college-level students who are majoring in art, music, theater, or art-related subjects and have completed one semester of school. Application forms, due by Aug. 31, are available at Town Hall, the Memorial Library, the high school guidance office, and by calling Janet Cann at 781-878-0060.
