The Board of Selectmen will soon begin accepting proposals for the old Avery Elementary School, following a vote by Town Meeting members last week that approved the transfer of the building to the board. Earlier this year, selectmen approved use of the school building as a community center; however, they must also consider any alternative proposals. The upcoming bid process will also determine how long an entity can lease the building from the town.
