Department of Transportation hearing on routes 6 and 28 improvements

On July 12, the Massachusetts Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing to discuss plans to improve the intersection of routes 6 and 28. MassDOT spokesman Michael Verseckes said the proposed project is still in its early phases and is being reviewed by state officials. The major work would include reconstructing the intersection, modernizing traffic signal equipment, and widening the roadway, he said. The design hearing is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the Wareham Town Hall cafeteria at 54 Marion Road.
