The long-awaited Pond Street reconstruction project is scheduled to begin, along with three other paving projects, around June 19, according to town engineer Peter O’Cain. The town selected the locations based on a previous study of Sharon roadways, he said, but waited to address Pond Street because utility work required tearing up the pavement. Now, the stretch from Post Office Square to the rotary by Lake Massapoag is set for extensive reconstruction, including new sidewalks and granite curbing, O’Cain said. The town also plans to do road work this summer on Morse Street, Massapoag Avenue, and Blair Circle.
