Summer theater for kids

The nonprofit Marion Art Center is taking applications for its summer musical theater program for children entering grades 4 through 8 in the fall. The program runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting July 5 and ending Aug. 2. Classes will be in acting, singing, dancing, improvisation, theater games, and developing a stage presence. The last day of the program is a musical revue. The fee is $160 for members of the Marion Art Center and $175 for nonmembers. For more information, visit or call 508-748-1266.
