Mattapoisett is conducting a survey among residents to update its open space and recreation plan, designed to address concerns and needs regarding recreational opportunities and to preserve habitat. An updated plan is necessary, officials said, to apply for state and federal grants for transportation, highway, and recreation projects. Copies of the survey can be picked up at the Town Hall, the public library, and the Council on Aging, and can also be filled out online at www.mattapoisett.net. Some of the questions on the survey include what originally attracted residents to town, recreational activities they enjoy, and what the town could do to improve recreation and conservation. The deadline for completing the survey is June 28.
