Norwood resident Bernie Cooper will receive a “Citizen of the Year’’ award on Wednesday at the Norwood Rotary Club’s annual banquet. The award is given each year to a member who is a community leader and has made a volunteer contribution to the town. Cooper has helped at numerous town events, including serving as chairman of the Fourth of July parade committee and with summer concerts on the common. Tickets are $30 for the banquet, which will be held at the Old Colonial Cafe in Norwood.
