Bridgewater’s Board of Health is expected to decide this week whether the town should become one of only a few communities statewide to regulate local beekeepers. The town’s health agent, Eric Badger, drew up proposed regulation after an Oak Street resident, Tony DeSilva, who has a severe allergy to bee stings, complained to the health board about hives next door. Badger said his proposal, to be considered by the board Wednesday, mirrors a longtime bylaw in Chicopee.
