Health administrator retires

Linda Rosen, who began working for the town of Sharon nearly 30 years ago as a part-time clerical employee and rose to the position of Health Department administrator, retired on June 7. Rosen interacted with residents when they visited the office for blood pressure or blood sugar screenings, or when they called to ask questions or register complaints. She said she received many questions over the years about the cleanliness of Lake Massapoag for swimming, and she saw the water quality improve greatly. Rosen also interacted with contractors looking to install septic systems. “It’s been a really good learning experience, and it was really good for me to work in the town where I live, because I care that much more,” she said. She plans to travel, including to Paris with her husband, and spend more time with her grandchildren.
