New principal for Igo

Michael J. Stanton, a Norfolk resident and principal of Walpole’s Boyden Elementary School, has been tapped as the new head of the Foxborough’s Igo Elementary School. Stanton was chosen by a search committee and Superintendent Debra Spinelli from a pool of 54 candidates. Officials said Stanton brings a wide range of administrative and teaching experience and will be a great match for the Igo community. Stanton, who will earn $105,000, succeeds Ingrid Allardi, who is moving on to become Norfolk’s superintendent of schools. Stanton begins his new job on July 1.
