Forty-nine seniors graduated from Avon High School this month, and Superintendent Margaret Frieswyk said that 42 of them — or 88 percent of the class — plan to go on to further education, either at a two- or four-year college or university, or post-secondary training. She said that 18 students were recognized for their high achievement on the MCAS tests and are eligible for free tuition at a state school as John and Abigail Adams scholars.
