The Police Department is offering a new, free method of disposing of prescription medications at the 46 Lothrop St. station. The MedReturn Drug Disposal unit, a standalone kiosk, accepts prescription medicines, patches, ointments, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples, and medications for pets. It does not accept inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, thermometers, needles (sharps), medications from businesses and clinics, aerosol cans, lotions, and liquids.
