A full lineup of free family activities will surround the Harvard Pilgrim Finish at the 50, a 5K and 10K road race at Patriot Place on July 3. The races, which begin at 6 p.m., will be followed at 9 p.m. by fireworks accompanied by a musical score broadcast by Dean College Radio. Festivities kick off on July 2 with a sand-sculpting demonstration, bounce houses, airbrush tattoos, and live music. Daytime events on July 3 include stilt walkers and appearances by celebrity runners leading up to the races, expected to draw more than 5,000 participants. The event also includes a Harvard Pilgrim Health and Fitness Expo and a Kids Fun Run on the Gillette Stadium field.
