Main Street zoning change

Voters at Tuesday’s special Town Meeting will be asked to approve a zoning change for 121 to 126 Main St., where a Dunkin’ Donuts owner has proposed opening a drive-through restaurant. Placed on the meeting agenda by petition, the proposal would change the zoning from design district to commercial, which would allow retail businesses to operate there. Neighbors have opposed a drive-through at this site, citing concerns over safety in what they describe as a heavily trafficked area approaching a highway interchange. All Kingston registered voters can participate and vote at Tuesday’s meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. at the town’s intermediate school at 65 Second Brook St.
