The public library is inviting residents to take part in its annual summer reading program, in which participants of all ages sign a “pledge” to read a specified number of books during the summer. Those who complete their pledges will receive certificates and rewards at a party at the conclusion of the program. There are also special events, ranging from weekly story times for young children, to weekly “Olympic Reading and Game Night” sessions that will include a Frisbee tossing demonstration. For more information or to register for programs and pledges, go to the library’s web site, hansonlibrary.org or call 781-293-2151.
