Randolph

Track project completed

Though wet weather pushed back the completion date, the new track at the Randolph High School athletic field is now ready for use. The track section of the facility will be open for daily community use between sunrise and sunset. To preserve the rubberized track surface, the School Department has instituted new rules, which will be posted at the entrance of the facility. The rules include: No food or beverages (other than water); no tobacco products; no metal cleats or spiked footwear; no dogs or other pets; no bicycles, strollers, in-line skates or other objects with wheels; and no sharp objects (such as tent stakes) that could penetrate the artificial surface. The Randolph Police Department will help enforce the rules. Group use of the artificial turf field will require a permit from the School Department; fees will vary depending on the group and activity.
