Inmates from the Norfolk County sheriff’s community service program were in town recently weeding, trimming, and spreading mulch at the municipal parking lot on West Main Street, according to Town Administrator Michael McCue. He said the area had become overgrown as budget cuts forced town maintenance employees to focus on such things as road patching, field maintenance, and safety-related issues. Inmates have helped in previous years with painting projects at Town Hall and the Senior Center, he said.
