The Pembroke Public Library last week kicked off its summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults. Participants in the children and teen programs record how much they read and can earn prizes. Adults who read books can enter drawings for prizes. All three programs also offer a variety of special activities. Children’s events range from a dance party to an interactive story and animal show. Teen events will include a Lego creations contest and a tabletop games tournament. Events for adults will include “Tea and Talk” book discussions, and a presentation by a John Adams re-enactor. To register for the programs or for more information, stop by the library, go to www.pembrokepubliclibrary.org, or call 781-293-6771.
