Summer children’s races begin Thursday at Frothingham Park, a week later than planned because of a scheduling conflict, according to Anne Daley of the Recreation Department. The free races begin at 6:30 p.m. and are for ages 2 to 12. “We have different races. The kids love it,” Daley said. “We have over 100 kids usually.” All the children receive ribbons and freeze pops.
