Nine Lives of Norton Feline Rescue Shelter, a nonprofit no-kill facility, needs volunteers on all shifts. Junior volunteers are also welcome, and time at the shelter may be used to fulfill high school community service requirements. Those under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult volunteer. Prospective volunteers are also welcome to drop by the shelter, located at 84 Hill St.,  between 11 .m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Volunteers are also needed for the shelter’s foster-care program.
