Robots at the museum

The Marion Natural History Museum will host a Lego Robotics Club this summer, on four Saturday mornings from 10:30 to noon. The program starts Saturday and continues July 21, Aug. 4, and 18, at the museum at 8 Spring St. A one-time fee of $35 is required to buy rechargeable batteries and charging stations, museum officials said. The robotics instructor is Sidney Batchelder, a robotics student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Volunteers ages 16 and up with some robotics experience are being sought to help with the club, museum officials said. Museum director Elizabeth Leidhold said a donation of an additional used laptop with Windows 2000, XP, or a later operating system is being sought for the program.
