The inaugural Plymouth 400 Bass and Blue Tournament will open at 5 a.m. Saturday and continue to 4 p.m. Sunday. All participants must be registered before the tournament and specify whether they plan to fish from shore or on a boat. Fish will be weighed at the town’s waterfront boat ramp, and a freshness test will be performed to make sure it is a recent catch. Cash, gift certificates, and ribbons will be awarded in several categories, including for striped bass and bluefish, on shore and offshore, and for ages 16 years and older, ages 7 through 15, and under age 7. For more information on rules and registration, visit www.plymouthma400.org/bassandblue. Proceeds from the tournament will go toward Plymouth’s 400th anniversary celebrations in 2020.
