Some unusual art will be on display at the Cravings Café on Ocean Street starting Aug. 1, when the walls will be lined with paintings by Jesse “the Painting Horse.” The equine artist will be on hand for the show’s opening at 3 p.m. to mingle with admirers. Jesse developed his talent while recuperating from an injury. Proceeds from the sales of his paintings will benefit a Middleborough-based horse rescue operation, Amazing Grace Equines, whose mission is to find new homes for horses that might otherwise face a bleak future. Jesse’s work has enjoyed some popularity in the area, with 13 out of 17 paintings purchased at his last show.
