The Paul Pratt Memorial Library is inviting people to check out a cookbook, try a recipe, and bring back the result to share with others at the “Eating Among the Stacks” (EATS) event on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The library will provide paper plates, utensils, and beverages, according to reference librarian Gayle Walsh. “It’s kind of like a taste test, a potluck,” she said. She said Cohasset got the idea from Weymouth, which held a similar event. Participants should contact Walsh to register at gwalsh@ocln.org or 781-383-1348. The library is at 35 Ripley Rd.
