Holy Ghost Parade today

The Holy Ghost Parade will start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday from Nicks Rock Road and continue to St. Mary Church at 313 Court St. for the 10:30 a.m. Mass. The procession is a “very colorful parade,” and has been a tradition in town since 1915, said Lenny Vaz, president of the Holy Ghost Society of Plymouth Inc., a charitable organization that organizes the parade every year. From noon to 6 p.m., the festivities will continue at Holy Ghost Field on South Cherry Street, where there will be Portuguese food and dancing, an auction, live music by the Johnny Souza Quintet, and children's activities.
