Weymouth film focuses on opiate addictions
Weymouth TV producer spent 2 years on project
Nick Martel, who grew up in Weymouth, has produced a new documentary called “Narcotic Misconceptions,” about the opiate addiction problem in his hometown. At a town forum on prescription drug abuse, residents grew emotional during the film’s first screening. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey, at the forum, said an average of three people die every two weeks from drug overdoses in the county. The documentary is airing on local access TV in Weymouth.
