The Town Counsel Search Committee will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center to discuss its search for a town counsel to replace Robert Troy, who resigned last month. The committee plans to examine other towns’ search processes, discuss logistics, and review the request for proposals process, according to committee member Andre Martecchini. Martecchini, a former selectman, was appointed to the committee, along with Phil Tortorella, Susan Curtis, Will Zachmann, Marty Desmery, Kathy Muncey, and Frank Mangione, by the Board of Selectmen. The group met briefly once and appointed Desmery, a lawyer, as its chairman. Troy resigned over disagreements with the Board of Selectmen regarding the town’s response to a suit brought by the former manager of its golf course.
