The Chamber of Commerce is hoping to boost tourism to the city with a series of Discover Quincy Days throughout the summer. The first two events, which occurred on June 2 and July 7, were a success, said Donna Mavromates, the chamber’s vice president and director of tourism. The next two events are Aug. 4 and Sept. 1. Participants can purchase Discover Quincy wristbands for $5, which are good for the whole day and allow visitors to take one of three tours. Sites include the John Adams and John Quincy Adams birthplaces, the United First Parish Church, the Adams Academy, the Dorothy Quincy Homestead, and even the Hancock Cemetery.
