Music for the 300th

Abington’s 300th anniversary celebration will continue on Aug. 12, with a fireman’s muster and band concert. Firefighters from Abington, Rockland and Whitman,  the three towns that constituted the original town of Abington prior to its 19th century split, will compete from 2 to 5 p.m. at Abington High School. The concert, featuring the John Penny Band, will begin at 6 p.m. at the Catherine and Joseph Nisby Bandstand.
