The town of Scituate and the Greater Attleboro-Taunton Regional Transit Authority are hoping to finalize a bus route and start transporting passengers as early as the fall, officials said at a meeting on July 17. Town officials characterized the service as a pilot program, and said the hope is to track user demand and change operating hours based on the need. Town officials also said they would hold a public hearing to finalize the route prior to its implementation. The drafted route is largely around the area of the Greenbush line and downtown, and excludes North Scituate.
