The positive words that describe Hanover today, according to a list released by selectmen, include well-managed, economically strong, and comfortable. The not-so-positive words include reactive, spoiled, and entrenched. According to the recently created goals document, “Hanover: A Vision for Tomorrow,” which the five-member board created with new Town Manager Troy Clarkson, the town will look and feel a lot different in 2020. At that point, they hope it will be described — if all goals are met — as solid and strong, stable and self-sufficient, engaged, and positive. In a recent interview, Clarkson said there is no limit to what the town can achieve, and economic development is at the top of the to-do list.
