Examine star patterns with astronomy enthusiast Barry DeCristofano at the Plympton Public Library.  He will help individuals and families create a take-home constellation map; explore the motions of the sun, moon, and planets; and observe the night sky by telescope during the one-hour event that begins Thursday at 8 p.m.  The rain date is Aug. 23 at 8 p.m.
