Marshall McCarthy , Duxbury: A three-year starter, the hard-hitting 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker has been a key cog in the Dragons’ current 27-game winning streak. He administered a smashing hit on Bridgewater-Raynham quarterback Jordan Cohen for an 8-yard loss on Friday night in a 20-7 win.
Micah Morel , Brockton: The senior defensive back was an integral part of a ferocious Boxer defense which shut out Boston College, 21-0, a 180-degree turn from last year’s 42-0 loss. Morel picked off a Dan Collins pass in the second half and delivered blanket pass coverage all night.
Mike Rando , Walpole: The Rebels rolled to a 47-0 win over Braintree, with the senior back contributing three touchdowns, including on the first play a 51-yard catch and run on the hosts’ first offensive player of the game.
Hunter Taute , Xaverian: The powerful 6-foot-2, 240-pound senior churned out 102 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries in a 35-7 win over Malden

Needham at Mansfield, Friday at 7
Mansfield mashed Westfield 49-15 in its opener while Needham took care of Bay State Conference rival Norwood, 27-0. Ryan Charter, who tossed two touchdown passes last week, stepped into the lineup last season because of an injury and quarterbacked the the Rockets to the Division 1 Super Bowl. Junior Kyle Wisnieski connected on a pair of scoring passes vs. Westfield.
