The grants will fund projects such as automated irrigation systems for cranberry operations, milk-house waste-water treatment, compost facilities, fencing, and drip irrigation. On the list of recipients are Carved in Stone, Cedar Meadow Cranberry, Cranberry Country Bogs, Edgewood Bogs, Remeskyla Cranberries, and W.D. Bog, all in Carver; Morse Brothers in Halifax; Sherry’s Berries in Lakeville; Bayside Agricultural, Benson’s Pond, and Chop Chaque Cranberries in Middleborough; Rocky River Bog in Plympton; and Porter Bog Co. and Triple C in Rochester. The grants were awarded through the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources’ Agricultural Environmental Enhancement Program.
