The 2011 winner of the Feinberg Youth Competition is scheduled to solo with the Brockton Symphony during its Sunday performance, set for 3 p.m. at Oliver Ames High School in Easton. Violinist Miki Nagahara, a student at Phillips Academy in Andover, will perform the Bruch Violin Concerto with the orchestra. Nagahara is a student of well-known violinist Peter Zazofsky. The Brockton Symphony’s performance on Sunday will also include the overture to “Rosamunde” by Franz Schubert and the Brahms Second Symphony. The Brockton Symphony is conducted by James M. Orent, and consists for the most part of volunteers. The annual Feinberg Youth Competition is sponsored by Kenneth R. Feinberg, a lawyer and Brockton native.
