Raytheon Co. is giving a select group of military veterans 150 tickets to attend the New England Patriots game against the Buffalo Bills on Veterans Day, and treating them to a pregame reception at The Hall at Patriot Place in Foxborough. A military fly-over is planned to precede the game Sunday, and some of Raytheon’s guest veterans will get to participate in a field-size flag opening ceremony before kickoff.

The defense contractor’s gift is one example of how past and present military personnel are being honored in communities south of Boston this weekend. Not every veteran will get to watch the Patriots play in person at Gillette Stadium, but all are remembered in celebrations and tributes planned across the region.
