Lions holiday event

According to spokeswoman Jennifer Logue, the wine tasting is one of the organization’s main fund-raisers. Money helps fight blindness, aid disaster-relief efforts, and helps Quincy public schools with scholarships and eye exams.

“All of the money raised goes right back into the community,” Logue said.

Typically, 70 to 100 people attend the event, which is usually done in partnership with other local organizations. “You’re not just learning about the Lions, you learn about other community organizations as well,” she said.

Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased online at Tickets will also be available at the door. To learn more about Taraz, visit
