The Abington Public Library will hold a discussion about what books make good holidays gifts on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Library director Deborah Grimmett and children’s librarian Lauren Budd will talk about what books make interesting gifts for every age group and for people with interests the gift buyer might not be familiar with. “It’s very hard to wade through the large number of books that are published each year, especially in a genre that an individual might not typically read,” Grimmett said. “This event personalizes a small number of titles.” Grimmett said the library has held the Books for the Holidays event annually for the past three years and received positive feedback. The event is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Abington Library. Refreshments will be served.
