“The fields have been plowed and planted with winter rye,” and the town’s community garden at Wheaton Farm is on schedule for an April 15 opening, according to Stephanie Danielson, the town’s acting planning director. “It’s been a long time coming.” There are 25 plots, 10 by 20 feet for individuals and 20 by 20 feet for families available for $45 and $75 maintenance fees, respectively, she said. Wheaton Farm is open space managed by the Conservation Commission. The town’s other community garden is at Sheep Pasture, managed by the Natural Resources Trust of Easton.
