Council to select new town manager

Town Council members have had a week since the interviews to mull the strengths and weaknesses of the four finalists for town manager, and they are expected to make their choice during their meeting Tuesday. On the list are William DiLibero, an attorney and former town manager for Hopkinton, R.I.; Michael Dutton, an attorney and former chief administrative officer for Oak Bluffs; Mark Stankiewicz, former town manager in Plymouth and Stoughton; and O. Paul Shew, a former city manager of Rye, N.Y., who now works for PEER Consultants, which provides engineering and disaster-recovery services. The new town manager is expected to start in mid-December, according to council President Kristy Colon. The town has operated with interim Town Manager Richard Kerbel since April when Troy Clarkson left for a job in Hanover.
