An ice cream and sandwich shop is collecting donations in the memory of Jordan Lopes, who worked at the shop for many years and was killed in a crash on Nov. 17. The 20-year-old Lopes was the front-seat pasenger in a car that drove into the woods off Charge Pond Road. Police said the driver, 20-year-old Jonathan Lydon of Wareham, was taken to Tobey Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Lopes graduated from Wareham High in 2010 and had been attending Cape Cod Community College, where he hosted a weekly show at the college radio station, WKKL. Lopes had worked for Kool Kone shop since he was 14 years old, said the shop’s owner, Thomas Strom. “We’re raising money to help out the family,’’ said Strom. “We’ve all worked together for a long time. It’s just sad. It’s like a family here, you know?” Contributions can be sent to Kool Kone, PO Box 91, Marion, MA 02738.
